A Message from the Chief Administrative Officer
It is with great pride that I welcome you today to learn more about Catholic Home Care, and the services and care provided by our dedicated team!
For over 113 years, Catholic Home Care, formerly Nursing Sister’s Home Care, has been providing healthcare to people in the setting of choice, their own home! Founded by the Congregation of the Infant Jesus, the Sisters provided care to the sick and dying without regard for a person’s religion, race, gender, or economic status. Today our lay staff, who come from diverse backgrounds, continue this mission. We remain committed to providing you with the most comprehensive, skilled, and compassionate care in the counties of Nassau, Suffolk, and Queens from the moment we enter your home until our last contact with you.
Every day, we care for over 3,000 patients who share with us their high level of satisfaction with the care and services we provide. Our physician community gives us similar feedback.
Our team includes nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, home health aides, social workers and chaplains. All are fully credentialed, received ongoing educational support, and provide care according to evidenced based protocols.
It would be our privilege to care for you, a family member, or a friend. We know our services reflect our personal concern for every patient and family member. We are so proud of our committed staff, and we look forward to assisting you as you recover in your home.
Mary Ellen Polit, RN,MS
